Covenant Agreement
This Covenant Agreement is a formal relational commitment between the Kingdom Authority Fellowship of Churches (KAFOC) and the Pastor/Church/Ministry seeking to enter into covenant fellowship. This agreement outlines the mutual expectations, responsibilities, and commitments essential for maintaining spiritual integrity, relational accountability, and Kingdom alignment.
This covenant is not a contract of control. It is a relationship built on trust, honor, and shared faith. Its purpose is to strengthen pastors, cover churches, and advance the Kingdom of God with excellence.
SECTION I - Purpose Of The Covenant
This Covenant Agreement exists to:
- Establish a healthy, Spirit-led relationship between KAFOC and the affiliated pastor/church
- Provide apostolic covering, pastoral support, and spiritual accountability
- Affirm the ministry, calling, and leadership of the affiliated pastor
- Strengthen churches for effectiveness, integrity, and Kingdom influence
- Foster unity and collaboration within the fellowship
SECTION II -Expectation of KAFOCSD Leadership
KAFOC commits to:
- Provide Spiritual Covering - Offer prayer, intercession, church administration, and pastoral counseling upport for the affiliated pastor, ministry, and congregation.
- Maintain Doctrinal Integrity - Uphold biblical truth, Pentecostal heritage, and sound theological standards within the fellowship.
- Offer Apostolic and Pastoral Support - Provide counsel, wisdom, and guidance during seasons of decision, transition, or crisis.
- Provide Leadership Development - Offer training, education, ordination pathways, mentorship, and resources for pastoral and ministerial growth.
- Promote Fellowship and Unity - Create opportunities for collaboration, fellowship gatherings, convocations, and ministry assignments.
- Support Organizational Health - Assist churches with resources for structure, governance, administration, and ministry excellence.
- Maintain Relational Accountability - Ensure that fellowship leaders operate with integrity, confidentiality, and honor toward all members.
SECTION III -Expectation of Affiliated Pastors & Churches
The affiliated pastor/church commits to:
- Uphold Biblical Standards - Walk in holiness, doctrinal soundness, and Spirit-filled living as outlined in Scripture.
- Honor the Fellowship Relationship - Respect the apostolic covering, connection, and leadership of KAFOC through unity and participation.
- Engage Actively in Fellowship Life - Participate in convocations, leadership meetings, trainings, and gatherings that strengthen the fellowship.
- Maintain Integrity in Leadership - Lead with ethical behavior, transparency, accountability, and character in all areas of ministry.
- Support the Fellowship Vision - Pray for the fellowship, uphold its mission, and contribute to its growth and development.
- Provide Accurate Ministry Information - Share relevant ministry updates, leadership changes, or concerns that may require covering or guidance.
- Practice Covenant Responsibility - Demonstrate consistency, respect, and cooperation in maintaining a healthy relationship with the fellowship.
SECTION IV - Doctrinal Alignment
- Affiliated churches agree to uphold:
- Biblical authority as the standard for faith and practice
- The work and infilling of the Holy Spirit
- Pentecostal expression in worship and ministry
- Salvation through Christ alone
- Holiness of life, integrity, and discipleship
- Commitment to evangelism and kingdom expansion
- Doctrinal disagreements that arise will be handled prayerfully, respectfully, and in accordance with fellowship standards.
SECTION V -Fellowship Participation & Communication
- Attend annual convocations and required church and leadership gatherings
- Communicate with KAFOC leadership regarding major ministry decisions when counsel or covering is needed
- Maintain openness and relational transparency with fellowship leadership
- Respond to fellowship communication in a timely manner
KAFOC leadership commits to:
- Provide clear and consistent communication
- Offer counsel without overriding local church authority
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters shared in trust
SECTION VI -Financial Covenant
This covenant establishes a relationship, not an obligation. Ministries are invited, as led by the Holy Spirit, to support the fellowship through:
- Annual fellowship contributions
- Love gifts during gatherings
- Support for special projects and initiatives
These contributions help sustain training, resources, fellowship events, and support to member churches. No fixed amount is mandated unless agreed upon by mutual decision.
SECTION VII -Autonomy of the Local Church
KAFOC affirms that every affiliated church:
- Retains full legal and administrative authority.
- Maintains its own name, structure, bylaws, and governance.
- Leads its congregation according to the vision God has given the local church Shepherd.
- Operates independently in financial, property, and organizational matters.
- This covenant does not transfer authority. It strengthens leadership through covering and relationships.
SECTION VIII - Duration of Agreement
This covenant remains in effect unless:
- The pastor or church requests withdrawal
- KAFOC leadership determines that continued relationship violates integrity or doctrinal alignment
If separation occurs, it will be handled prayerfully and respectfully to ensure peace and honor.
